There is some consideration of using GPT labels outside the ZFS file system to enable SWAP from a /etc/fstab file like this:

ZFS starts and enables the various file volumes and file systems internally
Display these parameters with the zfs get command:

Yes, 867M used, 10% Inuse of the 8192M Total So, running Poudriere we do use some 10% swap.
swapon, swapoff, swapinfo, swapctl Look at these 4 commands for use on FreeBSD and GhostBSD to enable, disable, or view your swap memory usage.
vmstat -h give a view of swap memory usage

I like these tools FreeColor causes it simple, green, and sweet and like the Free memory command on Linux. DUF because I can view Disk File Usage. It is a simple package install for FreeBSD. HTOP cause I can see colorful moving changes of processes and of the one line of SWAP memory usage.

You can avoid Perl based code and use standard sh shell to get same info using freebsd-memory.sh script:
Example of using Fetch to download freebsd-memory.sh. Then execute the command sh freebsd-memory.sh to view status and usage of memory.

You can even add a few seconds delay to get windows and mouse ready, before snapping that clean picture shot. Now insert that .PNG file into Abiword document processor and you can create/build your own manual. DUF Disk Utility File size & FreeColor memory and swap space usage

Your computer is not your grandfathers 64K Tandy Color Computer with the 6809 Motorola cpu. Nor is it your Fathers Dell 286 PC with 640K dram. More than enough memory. "Nobody will ever use more than 640 Kilobytes, says Bill Gates!" You have a whopping 8,000 Megabytes of dram memory in your Raspberry Pi 4B. You need a couple tools to check on Disk File Usage, duf and on Memory Space Usage, freecolor -m
DUF disk file usage shows the mounted ON and the filesystem good for ZFS.

You can select -m megabyte , -k kilobyte, -b byte, -t total size line, -V version, -o old style display with text numbers and NO bar graph.
I like freecolor -m so I have an idea of how much SWAP SPACE and memory this running system is taking up right now.
